In addition to my private counselling and supervision practice I am employed part-time in a school providing counselling to children and young people across the full primary, secondary and post-16 age range, and provide specialist support to university students with diagnosed mental health difficulties. I have worked with two different low-cost counselling services providing support for adults across a full range of difficulties, and have provided counselling in several schools in the Exeter area.

My original qualification was in teaching with a BEd Hons, and before becoming a counsellor I worked for many years in education with young people with special needs, as well as in promoting the educational opportunities of young people from diverse ethnic communities and educating against racism. I spent several years living in Spain working with vulnerable people, including those trying to leave addictions to drugs.
